This course highlights the importance of early childhood education through fundamental concepts, historical, philosophical, theoretical roots and legal frameworks. It offers opportunities for pre-service students to demonstrate awareness of the code of ethics as it guides the roles and responsibilities of early childhood professionals. It provides opportunities for pre-service students to explore contemporary programs and key organizations in the Philippines and in other countries, through exposure to ECE programs and practices to find out about the opportunities of the profession.
