This is a course in the study of the history of the Philippines and it geographic features. It traces the develop of the Philippines from its primitive culture to the emergence of its modern culture in the 21st Century. It dwells on the discussion on Philippine culture, beliefs, practices and religion before the coming of the Spanish voyagers, the Spanish regime for several hundreds of years, the puppet republic during the Japanese Occupation, World War II, and the rise of democracy under American Tutelage. The transition from the first president of the Philippines to the present is also the primary subject of discussion in this course.
