The course deals with the study of morphologic and biologic characteristics of microorganisms affecting humans, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites. It also includes the study of laboratory diagnostic method; modes of transmission, epidemiology, pathology; prevention and control of diseases caused by these microorganisms.
