Students will have a comprehensive view of the growing health, wellness and medical tourism sectors in a global context. Based on a range of case studies, students explore the history, development, range of destinations, products and services and key issues associated with the management of health, wellness and medical tourism operations. Awareness and the understanding of the emerging trends and future predictions for these sectors will also be examined. Topics include ways to establish a wellness business, marketing and administrative practices, and client management.

The course critically presents a number of considerations and recommendations for the spa industry to take full advantage of the opportunities these sectors offer.
