The course covers the fundamental principles and concepts of general chemistry blending facts with theory in application, particularly the various fields if students' interests and generally to the physical world. Emphasis is given to the concepts of atomic composition and structure, periodic table, chemical formula and chemical equation writing and naming of compounds, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, acids and bases, and calculations on solutions.
