This course aims to provide the student an integrated view of the finance function in management and in the organization, of the importance of professional financial management to a business firm’s operations, the key principles, analytical tools and skills, and responsibilities financial managers must know to do their jobs. At the end of the semester, you as the student will understand financial management as taking on a greater strategic focus in the process of value creation and financial managers increasingly supplement the traditional metrics of performance with new methods that encourage a greater role for uncertainty and multiple assumptions.
