This course deals with the biology, diversity, taxonomy, and phylogeny of fungi. It emphasizes on the study of life cycles, genetics, evolution, morphology, ecology, and their interaction with and significance to plants, animals, man and medicine. This will also enable the students to learn the survey, collection and preservation of fungi with industrial and medical importance as well as identification and management of plant, animal, and human fungal infections.
