This course provides a discussion of the basic principles behind probability sampling and estimation. It includes the steps and assumptions undertaken in conducting sample surveys, as well as a discussion of simple random sampling, stratification, systematic sampling, cluster and multi-stage sampling, and probability proportional to size sampling, estimation procedures using these designs, ratio and regression
estimation, sample size estimation as well as variance estimation.
