This course is an introduction to psychological theories and principles as applied to the teaching and learning process. The discussions and activities of these theories and principles focus on how these apply to the Philippine context and local experience.

After the semester, with at least 70% proficiency, the students must be able to:
1. describe the ways to which students differ;
2. discuss and differentiate the different learning theories as applied to teaching and learning situations; and
3. analyze teaching and learning situations and recommend appropriate teacher behavior.
