This course is a theoretical and practical preparation for business research including designing appropriate research strategies, selecting appropriate research methods both qualitative and quantitative, analyzing and interpreting data and presenting research results. This course focuses on analyzing and solving issues in a systematic way.
It will serve as a base for a straightforward business research project. It covers the fundamentals of the research proposal, literature review, and qualitative and quantitative methods. The course first emphasizes the research process and the importance of the literature review. It then focuses upon the appropriateness of specific research methods. Students are encouraged to critically evaluate different strategies and methods by identifying both the strengths and weaknesses of qualitative and quantitative methods. Overall, this course equips students with the skills and expertise to develop and implement a research project on their field of specialization.
