This course includes the fundamental concepts and principles in curriculum and curriculum development as a foundation to engage prospective teachers as curricularists. The more active role of the teacher in planning, implementing and evaluating school curriculum as well as managing school curriculum change vis-à-vis various context of teaching-learning and curricular reforms must be given emphasis.

Introduces different methods of data collection and the suitability of using a particular method for a given situation. Discuss the relationship of probability to statistics; probability distributions of random variables and their uses; the linear functions of random variables; the estimation techniques for unknown parameters; hypothesis testing; inference for regression parameters; and, statistically based experimental design techniques.

This course focuses on the environmental systems in buildings, Lecture discussions include building electrical systems, natural and artificial lighting, and building telecommunications.

Reducing operational loads and integrating high performance energy system into buildings offers solutions towards achieving a sustainable and secure energy future. Engineers must understand the interrelationship between a building and its subsystems and need sufficient knowledge of building systems and design alternatives to recommend appropriate solutions that suit the site , climate, building type, and occupants. They must coordinate the work of the engineering disciplines that carry the sustainability concept forward through building design, construction, commissioning, operation and ultimately, demolition, recycling and reuse.
