This course is the study of linear systems of equations, or vector spaces and the structure of linear mapping between such spaces. Topics in this course include vector spaces, matrices, and linear transformations, solutions of systems of linear equations, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, and the diagonalization of matrices along with the applications to differential equations.

An introductory course covering core concepts of limit, continuity and differentiability of functions involving one or more variables. This also includes the application of differential calculations in solving problems on optimization, rates of change, related rates, tangents and normals, and approximations; partial differentiation and transcendental curve tracing.

This course introduce the concept of integration and its application to some physical problems such as evaluation of areas, volumes of revolution, force and work. The fundamental formulas and various techniques of integration are tken up and applied to both single variable and multi-variable functions. The course also includes tracing of functions of two variables for a better appreciation of the interpretation of the double and triple integral as volume of three-dimensional region bounded by two or more surfaces.

Introduces different methods of data collection and the suitability of using a particular method for a given situation. Discuss the relationship of probability to statistics; probability distributions of random variables and their uses; the linear functions of random variables; the estimation techniques for unknown parameters; hypothesis testing; inference for regression parameters; and, statistically based experimental design techniques.

Linear algebra provides concepts that are crucial to many areas of computer science, including graphics, image processing, cryptography, machine learning, computer vision, optimization, graph algorithms, quantum computation, computational biology, information retrieval and web search. Linear algebra in turn is built on two basic elements, the matrix and the vector.
