This course deals with the fundamentals of semiconductor devices, characteristics and biasing of diodes and transistors. Design and analysis of circuits using diodes, bipolar transistors, and field effect transistors and applications, designing of semiconductor amplifier circuits and other related semiconductor devices. It includes laboratory experiments to verify the operation of the circuit.

It also includes the semiconductor memory devices and systems, different language programming, I/O programming, I/O interface design, I/O peripheral devices, data communications, and data acquisition systems. Several laboratory exercises will be based on both microprocessor and microcontroller. And application of both interfaces techniques thru lecture and laboratory.

This course deals with the electronics devices the passive and active components as applied to electrical and electronics work network, electronics theorem, rules of passive and active network, RLC components and the different characteristics and applications of electronic circuits and safety. It also covers DC circuit analysis techniques including mesh and nodal analysis, and network theorems such as Norton’s, Thevenin’s and maximum power transfer. It also includes the use of different instrument in electronics. Upon completion students should be able to construct, analyze, verify, and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits using appropriate techniques and test equipment, also includes laboratory experiments.
