This is an introductory course intended to equip the nursing students with concepts, principles in research with the application of the major phases of the research process. It introduces the beginning roles of the nurse as a nurse researcher. The learners are expected to develop a technically and ethically sound research proposal. The course include focus on the formulation of the research problem to the selection of research design, planning, and choosing appropriate research tools for data gathering. This will require the students group to present a research proposal colloquium with the application of knowledge and demonstration of skills and attitude in conceptual design and planning phases of the research process (Ref: CHED CMO No. 15 S2017).
